Discover She Brews Coffee Roasters

The first time I walked into She Brews Coffee Roasters at 1 N Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74110, United States, I expected a decent cup of coffee. What I found instead was a space that felt intentional, community-driven, and serious about craft. The aroma of freshly roasted beans hits you before you even reach the counter, and that alone tells you this isn’t just another neighborhood café-it’s a working roastery with purpose.

Located just minutes from downtown Tulsa, the shop blends industrial charm with warm, welcoming details. Exposed brick, natural light, and the steady hum of espresso machines create an atmosphere that feels both productive and relaxed. During my visit, I noticed a mix of students tapping away on laptops, professionals holding casual meetings, and regulars chatting with baristas by name. That balance says a lot about a place’s role in the local community.

The menu is thoughtfully curated. You’ll find classic espresso drinks-lattes, cappuccinos, cortados-but also pour-over options that highlight single-origin beans. On my first visit, I ordered a pour-over made from Ethiopian beans. The barista explained the roast profile and tasting notes-bright acidity, hints of citrus, and floral undertones. According to the Specialty Coffee Association, factors like origin, altitude, and roast level dramatically influence flavor complexity, and you can taste that knowledge in every cup here. The brewing process wasn’t rushed. It was precise. The barista weighed the grounds, timed the pour, and controlled the water temperature. That attention to detail aligns with industry best practices recommended by the Coffee Quality Institute.

Beyond drinks, the café offers a small but satisfying food menu. Fresh pastries, breakfast options, and light bites complement the coffee without overshadowing it. I tried a warm breakfast sandwich paired with a house-made latte, and the balance of flavors worked perfectly-nothing overly sweet, nothing greasy, just clean and comforting. It’s the kind of menu designed for repeat visits.

What stands out most is the mission behind the brand. She Brews isn’t just about roasting beans; it’s about empowering women through workforce development and community programs. In a coffee industry where leadership roles are often male-dominated-studies by organizations like the International Coffee Organization highlight persistent gender disparities-this model feels both relevant and impactful. During one conversation, a staff member shared how their training programs provide hands-on skills in roasting, customer service, and operations. That kind of real-world application transforms a coffee shop into something much bigger.

From a technical standpoint, their roasting approach reflects current specialty coffee standards. Lighter roasts preserve origin characteristics, while medium profiles enhance sweetness and body. You can actually see the roasting equipment on-site, reinforcing transparency. Transparency builds trust. When customers see the process, they understand the care involved. It’s not just marketing-it’s craftsmanship.

Reviews from locals consistently mention the welcoming vibe and quality consistency. Consistency is key in specialty coffee. According to data published by the National Coffee Association, over 60% of Americans drink coffee daily, and consumers increasingly prefer specialty-grade beans. That trend makes quality control essential. During my multiple visits, the flavor profile and presentation remained steady, which speaks to strong internal standards.

The location at 1 N Lewis Ave also makes it easy to stop in whether you’re commuting, exploring Tulsa, or meeting friends. Parking is manageable, and the space never feels overcrowded, even during peak morning hours. Staff members greet guests with genuine warmth rather than scripted enthusiasm. It feels natural.

There’s something refreshing about a café that combines community impact with technical precision. The roasting process is transparent. The baristas are knowledgeable. The menu is balanced. And the space feels intentional. While I can’t speak for every single day of operation, my experiences-and the consistent local reviews-suggest a reliable standard of quality.

If you care about ethically sourced beans, carefully developed roast profiles, and a café environment that encourages connection, She Brews Coffee Roasters delivers on all fronts. It’s more than a coffee stop. It’s a place where craftsmanship meets purpose, one carefully brewed cup at a time.

  • Nothing pretentious here. This is a business with a mission, staffed with ladies that want to succeed. Their effort to please is noticeable, with customer focused service, great coffee and pastries. These ladies care about what they are doing. The customer area is comfortable. It has garage sale, thrift store décor ambiance. Nothing pretentious. Relaxing. I like it, I can eat on the couch and no one cares. My wife had a Blueberry Muffin, with a Roasters Choice. Her Roasters Choice was an iced coffee. Straight dark rich brewed coffee on ice, no flavoring other than a little whipped cream on top. She loved it. For me Banana Nut Muffin with a “what I always get” Mocha. We ordered at the counter. No having to guess if the order placed out on the counter is yours. A friendly server delivered our drinks to the little side table that was between the funky dark blue velvet chairs we had selected. Relax we did. It worked we were in no hurry to go anywhere. One of the most comfortable laid back coffee shops we have tried in Tulsa.

  • Easily one of my favorite coffee shops in Tulsa. Even though She Brews is a 25 minute drive from my house, it’s so worth it. I highly recommend the Sweater Weather Latte! The staff is always so kind and I love the welcoming environment. Easily 11/10 stars.

  • Love the story behind this shop because it gives it more character, love the people who were there because they were very welcoming and friendly, and the environment was very uplifting and super clean. Our latte and tea is super tasty! I got the sweater weather and my fiance got the hibiscus tea and both were made quickly and deliciously! will be coming back!

  • Amazing. Space was fresh and inviting, service was everything you’ve ever wanted customer service to be and the tea and food changed my life. I’m not a huge tomato fan, like at all, but I ordered their blt because I was hungry. It was DELICIOUS! I had it on their house bread, chef’s kiss, and they used sun dried tomatoes on it instead of fresh. I just about lost my mind I love sun dried tomatoes (listen, pizza sauce and sun dried is the only way I’m eating tomatoes). I highly recommend checking it out!

  • What a better sight than seeing a coffee house on a cold day like this? Especially when you’ve been driving for a while and there is none in sight—or at least not one worth stopping for. The curb appeal caught my attention as I was performing some work nearby, and I said to myself, “I need something warm soon!” I went in and quickly realized that this was not just any coffee house. It is an experience. It must be carefully observed to get the meaning, where its walls and its people tell you there is a lot to explore beyond the coffee. Well, well—I saddled up and began… The reception was great. I could tell there were visitors who appeared to be regulars. As I stared at the menu, I could tell they put a lot of meaning into the names of their drinks. I chose the house spiced latte with oat milk. I wish I had chosen the 16 oz one, because I could not get enough of it. It was spicy, but not too much—just the right amount! It infused me with joy and warmth. I was a happy man after that. It did not matter, come what may, I was ready to grab it by the horns! Thank you!

  • I’m a bit of a coffee snob, and I moved into Tulsa 3 years ago and couldn’t find anywhere that had coffee that wasn’t 90% sugar, roasted in-house, and still great quality. This place is all of those things, and they make their rose syrup in house instead of buying the artificial syrup. Plus, I learned the story behind it and had a great conversation with the incredible women who work there and I will never be going anywhere else. God bless these women and the incredible mission they are on to make the world a better place, one coffee at a time.
